Description
The SMS (Security
Management System), developed by HI SEC International A/S in
Denmark, is a complete Security Management package as well as an Alarm
Monitoring tool.
The SMS runs
under Windows 95/NT on an IBM compatible Pentium PC with minimum clock
frequency at 240MHz and at least 500 MB hard disk.
The
System can work on a single PC or in a network with server and several
clients connected.
When connected
to the THOR Access Control System and the THOR Intruder Alarm System the
SMS program will, perform real time alarm monitoring, with instruction
and alarm reporting facilities.
Equipped with
a Graphic Module, the SMS can display the exact location of alarm(s), and
arming and disarming can be carried out with a click on a mouse.

User Levels
Every
individual user of the SMS has
to enter his/her name and password before a log-in to the system can take
place.
The SMS
accepts more than 1000 users, each with their own specific rights to
operate the various parts of the software.
Menu Structure
The SMS
program is menu driven and despite the numerous features and programming
facilities, is very easy to operate.
Only the menus
selected for the user presently logged on to the system, will be
highlighted and can be chosen.

Reports
Whenever the
SMS has been connected to a site, all log-events from the site in question
is transferred to the SMS.
From the SMS
program, reports can be generated with respect of the site(s),
terminal(s), card(s) and event type(s) in question and within a specified
time window.
With such a
feature, no events will be forgotten, and reports are easily made.
Card database
The SMS card
database consists of a number of fields, of which several are user defined
and can be used for other administrative purposes.
The
program
includes a search function, enabling the user to identify the cardholder
within seconds based on any criteria stored in the card database.
